The Scott County Kids Early Childhood Iowa Preschool scholarship program, administered by Friendly House, is designed to help Scott County families with a portion of the child’s preschool tuition. Parents must choose to enroll the child in one of the approved centers. Children, three to five years of age, qualify to participate in the Scholarship program. The program pays $5 per hour for up to 30 hours per week. The amount of assistance depends on the family income.

Allowed my daughter to have a very high quality of education, despite me being a single mother. — Mary Jo
He loves going to preschool and his confidence has grown. I feel at peace when I think about moving him into kindergarten next year. I am so very grateful that he was given this opportunity to be in preschool. I have no doubt, that his entire educational outcome will be more positive because of this blessing at a pivotal time in his life. — Melissa
