Effective parental engagement develops leadership skills and supports a Program’s success. Many Programs struggle with knowing how to engage and maintain involvement of these parents. This training will help programs maximize relationships with parents and provide strategies and tools to effectively engage program participants. Participants will:
- Identify the benefits and challenges of parent leadership development
- Learn the key steps to parent engagement
- Begin action planning for developing and strengthening these relationships
Presenter: Julie Gibbons is the Training and Development Director at PCA Iowa for six years. Julie has worked for over six years with networks across the state to strengthen efforts around child abuse prevention. Julie provides numerous trainings for providers and contract managers supporting this critical work.
